Need to Volunteer or Intern Only Part-Time?
Perhaps volunteering as a Vincentian is more than you can commit to at this time, but you still wish to volunteer or intern with the Society. From delivering food boxes to the poor or helping sort donated items, we have a place for everyone.
Although our volunteers come from all walks of life, they have one thing in common—the desire to improve the lives of others.
Volunteers may serve individually or they can organize a club, group, or coworkers. Opportunities include a one-time volunteer visit, a service project, a drive to collect needed items, or a regularly scheduled volunteer assignment.
How our Volunteers Make a Difference
Volunteers assist with data entry, copying, filing, grounds keeping, and special projects.
Cardinal Manning Center
Volunteers offer advice and encouragement and distribute clothing and toiletries. They become mentors for those in need. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed.
St. Vincent Boutique
Volunteers help sort, stock, and organize furnishings, designer clothes and home décor items at SVdP’s one-of-a-kind boutique.
Volunteers sort and price donated goods and clothing for distribution to the thrift stores.
Volunteers from local colleges receive professional career experience and college credit related to their major.
Volunteers stock and organize merchandise and assist customers at the thrift stores. Duties include hanging clothes, arranging merchandise such as books, videos, records, waiting on customers and helping with Bundle Sundays.
Volunteers assist making calls to thank donors and seek new donations.
Volunteers answer customer questions and direct them to the right store departments.
