Men’s Advancement Program (MAP)
The Men’s Advancement Program (MAP) engages men in a transitional living opportunity that includes case management services in an effort to provide support and direction for location and maintenance of permanent housing.
These working poor are unable to save enough money without the assistance of this program to locate and maintain housing. Program components include a structured means of saving and goal-setting that includes vocational and educational goals. Individuals are involved in weekly case management, job training, counseling and group meetings.
Participants are expected to participate in chores and duties that contribute to the shelter as part of the program. Some goals include debt reduction, savings plans, housing, education and employment plans.
