Cardinal Manning Center (CMC)

Some of the services at the CMC are the:

Men’s Advancement  Program  (MAP)

The Men’s Advancement Program (MAP) engages men in a transitional living opportunity that includes case management services in an effort to provide support and direction for location and maintenance of permanent housing.

These working poor are unable to save enough money without the assistance of this program to locate and maintain housing. Program components include a structured means of saving and goal-setting that includes vocational and educational goals. Individuals are involved in weekly case management, job training, counseling and group meetings.

Participants are expected to participate in chores and duties that contribute to the shelter as part of the program. Some goals include debt reduction, savings plans, housing, education and employment plans.

Emergency Men’s Transition Services

CMC provides emergency beds and case management services to men living on the street. Many are considered chronically homeless or have needs that make it difficult for them to retain housing. By engaging these men in case management while assisting them to connect with community partners who provide housing to these individuals we are working to change their lives by assisting them to transition from the streets into permanent housing options. It is in this program that clients receive comprehensive array of services that include case management, referrals, education, basic life skills, and more.
